Au Revoir
31 July 2024
Three years ago, in 2021, I was preparing for my entrance exams. Despite my mediocre score in 12th grade, getting into DU was out of my league!
A few months later, I was disappointed because I didn't get into a good college, or at least the one I wanted to study at. But as they say, we only get what's written in our destiny, nothing more, nothing less.
The D-Day came when I received the notice to go to college (obviously, I was a COVID batch student, hahaha). I was quite nervous because:
I hadn't traveled anywhere without a guardian.
I faced a lot of trouble making relationships in school.
The distance between my college and home was massive!!!
I still remember it was 14 February 2022 when we were supposed to attend college for physical classes. Due to personal reasons, I couldn't attend on the first day, so I went on the very next day.
15 February 2022 it was!!!
I was very nervous for the reasons mentioned above, but somehow I managed to survive that day. I interacted with a few people, with whom I still share a bond. I got into the good books of a few teachers and finally made a group of 6-7 friends! It felt like a childhood dream come true, making a group of good human beings. We went on two major trips, attended ten festivals, had unlimited parties, and countless MAC-D ( McDonald ) dates!
Hahaha, I was literally having the best days of my life!
Suddenly, my life turned upside down!
Maybe I took life for granted and made decisions that eventually hurt me. But then, I was a happy soul amidst all the chaos. I tried to fix my mistakes, but maybe I was too late. However, as soon as I realized my errors, I learned a beautiful lesson about life the hard way. Let me relate this to a shloka from the epic, the legendary Mahabharata:
अर्थात् : केवल आप ही स्वयं को ठीक कर सकते हैं, न आपके दोस्त और न ही आपका परिवार आपको ठीक कर सकता है। आप ही अपने उपचार के साथी हैं और आप ही अपने विनाशक भी हैं!
The above was the meaning that I have learned from the shloka. If a person wants to enjoy her life, then she is the one who can truly work for it, not her parents, friends, or boyfriend.
So, if you want to enjoy your life, then you yourself need to work hard or vice-versa!
I will try to enjoy the best of my life by adding everything in the form of a journal on this account. Will work my ass off to live a better life until the day I meet them!
By "them" I mean: the consequences of my actions!
PS: I feel like the shlokas from the Mahabharata are the best, so I will put them in my blog.
KEEP READING & ENJOY THE RAIN!
